Summer Slow Jam Start

For this year's summer slow jams I wanted to combine elements of a Pachinko drop game and Tetris, adding in some fancy power ups, and see where it took me.
Solo dev - so hopefully not biting off more than I could chew with this. I'm sure I'll have to reel in some of the scope at some point, but I did have a pretty good set of sprites out the gate for the various balls and powerups and a decent idea of how to package it all together. The theme of "chain reaction" actually dovetails in nicely with my original idea, so I think we'll be in a good spot.
If I'm feeling ambitious I may try to do two screens - so the catch basins at the bottom are on a 2nd screen and displayed after you drop the ball, ala the pokemon pinball games, or if I just wanna keep it super simple. We'll see how it goes. Kinda like the idea of going for an arcade style feel - as I do with most of my PICO-8 projects.
In the interim - I do have the gameboard drawn, and the queue/hoppers mostly working. Collision detection on the pegs and in the basins is being a little wonky, but we'll get there. Was able to add the hold logic too - which will come in useful and add to the puzzly nature of the game. I'm excited that a lot of the framework was fairly straight forward to code and add logic to. Now hopefully I'll be able to spend some time putting the finishing touches on the design document and get that uploaded too perhaps?
Excited about this. Hopefully I'll be able to polish it well for the jam too.
